ePTFE Hybrid Grafts
We present a new generation of the highest quality MAQUET hybrid vascular prostheses, which combine the best properties of the two most popular materials used for prostheses in their structure.
Synthetic hybrid vascular prosthesis made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). ePTFE material is unique in that the porous surface make it much more durable, so the inside of the prosthesis lined with pores strengthens the prosthesis. The surface layer of the denser pores is also more prone to tissue growth, resulting in better healing results. A heparin coating is designed next to this inner layer, using albumin, the main blood protein. The outer layer is a knitted polyester fabric. The two layers are fused together with a patented polycarbonate-urethane.
MAQUET ePTFE vascular prostheses are used for reconstruction of large and small peripheral arteries. Prostheses are special in their construction, which gives the prosthesis exceptional strength and durability according to the need. In addition to these advantages, ePTFE vascular prostheses are available in a variety of modifications – different sizes, lengths and wall thicknesses.
